Well, my computer has crashed to the ground three or four more times. If I didn't love what computers do so much I'd hate 'em. Sorry I haven't been around. I've got (more) parts on order, so hopefully I can get this thing up and stable. Then I can finally get started on new products again!

Wouldn't that be nice.

Since my computer was spiraled into the ground anyhow, I took the time to move my assorted workspace paraphernalia into the spare room. So now I have an actual office/workspace. I think this division, albeit mostly symbolic, will help me get more work done.

So, I finally got the computer I design on finished upgrading, but I also lost all the data on my hard drive. What this means is all the projects I was working on, as well as all my templates...are gone.

So, all the new stuff I've been working on is gone, and it's gonna take me a little bit to get the pipeline flowing again.

The punk jacket post has 213 views, the biker/standard jacket post has 192. Noam mentioned that a good target was 150, which turned the post red (as in red hot I guess) .

So I guess that's good. We'll see if the sales numbers back it up. With the wonky servers maybe folks were just trolling the boards more.

I guess I'm either slow or stupid. I bought a thing on SLX to let me email IM's to folks in SL. I didn't realize I could already do this for free. I have my IM's set to email me when I'm offline, and those emails have an email address that I can then use for that particular person. I can then email them back an IM. Nifty.

But I paid for a program that does the same thing =( Other than it has a dbase of folks SL emails. I guess there's some other functions, so it's not a rip, but for what I wanted to do, I didn't need to buy it.

I should be putting the Highwayman Leathers up tonight. I would have put them up last night but I need to make small and medium versions of the prim belt, since you can't scale it any smaller with the prims being so tiny on the buckle part. I'm really really happy with these jackets. A lot of work went into them.

There's a basic worn black Highwayman, the Biker Highwayman with patches designs and pins, and a punk Highwayman (not pictured) .

My schedule should be nearing normalacy again. Which means I've gotta get creating. I have my next product in the works. I gave up on the greaser jeans for now. I'm just not inspired on them. And when that happens it's best to put them aside for a bit until it hits me.

So I replaced the Seagate with a Western Digital 320gb SATA drive...so far everythings copied over and it looks like it's holding up. And that means the new box is pretty much complete.
Intel core 2 duo e6300 processor, 2 GB of 667Mhz Ram, BFG GeForce 7950 PCIe graphics card, 320GB 300MBs SATA hard drive. The next thing the sock drawer money goes toward is a shiny new wacom tablet! It'll be a while, but it'll be worth it.

I should take a few pics of my ugly ass PC and post them here when I get home. I bought the ugliest floor model case we had at the time, it's awesome!

I got my x-mas gift early! A 19" viewsonic vx922 LCD monitor, oh happy glorious day! You just don't know how hard your CRT is on your lookers til you use a nice lcd instead. My headaches gone!

I'm not normally a fan of "hand drawn" skins or clothes, as "hand drawn" is usually used to mean more cartoonish or "artsy". I guess it's meant to draw the line between photosourcing (photoshoping existing pictures into SL templates) and things created without the use of external art. But I really like the skin I bought. It may be "hand drawn" but it has the realistic feel that I like. I'll update this post with pics when I get home this afternoon.

*edit* I found the ad for the skins, and it's just bizarre how different a shape can make a skin look.

Crap I forgot how much I hate trying to draw with a roller ball mouse. I'm at work and trying to find this hair style because Noam is making a completely cool and original hairstyle (which is masculine) and it made me think of this kind of a stand up ponytail that looks kind of like an inverted mop. But I can't find a picture of it, mainly because I don't know what it's really called. So long story longer...I tried to draw it at work.. Not so awe-inspiring =)

Welp, got my first check from the new job and I was really happy until I realized I'm not having healthcare taken out yet...dur. Still, it's a much better gig and the pay is better if not great. The new shades are coming along. Barely Schlegal humped me at Dark City last night til I agreed to do some Buddy Holly style glasses. The dress shirt is coming along nicely, gonna do a sleeves down and sleeves up version.
'Kota and I hung out at Dark City for a bit, and then at The Velvet, til she had to log due to weird Aussie time stuff. Still, fun was had!

So, the plan is to build my own store, I have an idea for what I want to do, here's hoping everything works out for a place to actually build the sucker.

The idea is a chop shop. Pieces of cars, old hydraulic lifts, grease, grime, and questionable ethics.

What I need from my friends is places that have things that fit that theme....neon bar signs, hub caps, things like that. If not to buy and put in the place, at least give me some ideas. Of course, if my secret sugar daddy doesn't come thru, no new store, but here's keeping the digits crossed.

Working on a dress shirt worn open tonight, I need to do some new shades too.
A girl at work brought in her Lost season 1 boxed set, so I could start getting caught up I guess. I told her I really enjoyed "Heroes" and she said she did too, and that I was missing out not watching Lost.

It's snowing, and the roads are for shit. :( I hate winter. If I could get a job in Cali or someplace warm like that we'd be gone in a minute. I just don't have the time or credentials (degree, certificates, portfolio) so it's not gonna happen.

Welp, I hate prims. Not quite happy with the collar yet, so the jackets won't be up til tomorrow. But I did get the brown and black versions of the jackets themselves done, so that's cool.

I LOVE that my new job gives me time to post here during the day.

I HATE that my stupid Linksys router (my second one in 4 years) died. I really can't afford $50 right now...or ever.

I bought a Belkin wireless router for $40, and just turned off the wireless. Meh. I'd have much rather put that into a new computer. Savins!
